Entry #5, Tahnee Reed (Fr., Pierce, Neb.)

This week has been another fundamental week for the Yote volleyball team. The team had the weekend to relax and spend time with our families over Easter Break, but came back focused for practice on Monday. We spent practice time on Monday with breakdown situations to get us back in our normal routine and resumed with more competitive situations on Tuesday. The seniors from our past season have continued to help out at practice so we are able to play against someone with our small numbers. We were in the gym at 6:30 a.m Thursday morning for a short breakdown practice and as a reward for our focus and efficiency Coach Houk gave us the day off on Friday.

We will continue practicing for one more week to prepare for a tournament at SDSU on April 25 that will end our spring season. We are all excited to have one more tournament and hope to end the spring season with a few more wins and show how hard we have worked the last few months. We have trained very hard this spring and hope to carry that over to the fall season since we will be such a young team.
