Last week was our first week after a nice and relaxing spring break. Some of us went on elaborate trips to California or Florida, but many of us just relaxed at home. The week we returned was midterm week, so many of the girls had to hit the library and study hard. Also, we came back to a hard week of lifting and running. On Tuesday we ran a mile first, then some sprints, and followed that with a mile and half. Wednesday was a bit easier since we only had lifting, but Thursday was another day of hard running. We played a lot of futsal as well, and did some balancing activities. We have come a long way by getting better at our touches and movement off the ball. On Saturday we had a fun futsal tournament where we played the alumni. It was really nice to see the girls that we used to play with. On Sunday we had a kids camp from 3-5 where we taught older and younger kids the fundamentals of soccer. While we were coaching the kids, coach was teaching the parents and coaches a bit about soccer. It was an enjoyable experience. I got to work with the 5-7 year olds and it was a ton of fun. Coming up we have the spring athlete formal, and the SAC awards which is always a good time. That is about all for last week, and we will continue to work hard throughout the spring to improve ourselves for the fall.
