Jevon Bowman is in his second season as the head strength and conditioning coach at South Dakota in 2011-12. Bowman served as an assistant coach in 2009-10. Bowman played for the Coyote football team from 2004-07 and was part of the 2005 North Central Conference championship team. Bowman helped start the strength program at USD in the spring of 2008 and was the interim head strength coach for the summer of 2009. A native of Rapid City, S.D., he works primarily with football men’s and women’s basketball but also oversees all USD sports. He designs, organizes and implements various programs along with testing and evaluating the student-athletes and talking with professional scouts. A member of the National Strength and Conditioning Association, he earned his bachelor's degree in physical education, health and coaching from South Dakota in 2008 and his master's degree in exercise science and athletic administration from USD in 2010. He is married to Rheannon Bowman.
