Hegge's Big Night Helps Coyotes Survive UMKC, 60-54
VERMILLION, S.D. -- Senior Amber Hegge recorded her eighth double-double of the season to help the South Dakota women's basketball team outlast Missouri-Kansas City, 60-54, in Summit League action Saturday night at the DakotaDome in Vermillion, S.D. The Coyotes improved to 15-6 overall and 7-5 in the Summit League with their fifth straight win, while UMKC dropped to 15-9 overall and 6-6 in the league.

Wolter Sets School Record in Winning Triple Jump at Frank Sevigne; Brenner Paces Men
VERMILLION, S.D. -- Senior Kenna Wolter set a school record and won the triple jump to lead the South Dakota women's track and field team at the final day of competition at the Frank Sevigne Invitational in Lincoln, Neb. The Coyote men had a good showing against the stout competition as well, led by a personal-best sophomore Travis Brenner and their 4 x 400 relay team's impressive time.

Coyote Women's Tennis Blanks MSU Mankato, 7-0
ST. PETER, Minn. -- The South Dakota women's tennis team didn't lose a set on the day on its way to a 7-0 win over Minnesota State, Mankato in a nonconference match Saturday in St. Peter, Minn. The Coyotes improved to 2-3 on the year with the win.

Coyote Women's Swimming and Diving Team Wraps Up Competition at Minnesota Challenge
MINNEAPOLIS, Minn. - Freshman Miranda Vlach-Buller recorded a solid finish in the 1,650 freestyle to lead the South Dakota women's swimming and diving team at the Minnesota Challenge, which was held Friday and Saturday at the University of Minnesota Aquatic Center in Minneapolis, Minn. The Coyotes sent a small contingent of athletes to compete at the meet, which featured 17 tams, including Division I foes Minnesota, South Dakota State and Illinois.
